What, like it’s hard?
Already done —
How to run it — for whoever’s helping

The deal with Penny. Same every time.

  1. Ten minutes. That’s the whole thing. Tap the timer. When it goes off, stop — even halfway through a card.
  2. She picks where to start. Any deck. Her call.
  3. You hold the phone. She just talks. Nothing to write, nothing to read.
  4. “Pass” is a real answer. Tap Try again and move on. No face, no lecture, no big deal.
  5. Then she quizzes you — and you get some wrong on purpose. Watching you miss one is what makes passing feel survivable.

Three don’ts

  • Don’t correct her mid-answer. Let her finish, then turn the card over. The card corrects her, not you.
  • Don’t add time because it’s going well. Ten is the promise.
  • Don’t double up after a missed day. Skip it and carry on.

Always end on a card she knows.
